Abigail is a very special little Standardbred filly. Born without one eye and a possible cataract on the other, she faces many challenges. She stayed with her mother until she was 5 months old and then they both traveled to Racers Placers. When she was settled in, her mother returned home and Abigail began her new life with us. She has had a thorough examination with an ophthalmologist and neurologist at the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in Madison and we believe she has the potential to lead a happy, productive life with proper care and guidance. She is trusting and inquisitive and currently learning voice commands.

Our sweet Abigail has blossomed into a beautiful young lady. She is a confident, friendly horse who, despite her impaired vision, enjoys learning new things and is curious and confident. She has lived on the farm with friends to guide her, green grass to munch on and time to grow and mature but something is missing… she needs a permanent home with a horse/pony to keep her company and a special adopter to be her guardian and protector.
